Who Rules the World Synopsis: One of the Most Anticipated Chinese Dramas This Year

In 2022, one of the most anticipated colossal dramas this year, Who Rules the World, finally airs. The drama, starring two popular Chinese stars, Yang Yang and Zhao Lusi is produced by China's media giant, Tencent. Since last year, fans have been eagerly waiting for this drama to air. Behind the scenes photos that are also widely circulated online further emphasize that this drama is one of the most anticipated dramas this year. After topping the charts as the most awaited drama on various sites, finally on April 18, Who Rules the World aired.

Who Rules the World is based on a fairly popular novel, namely Qie Shi Tian Xia a.k.a. Who Gets the World. It tells the story of Hei Feng Xi (Yang Yang) who is the leader of the Fountain Abode and Bai Feng Xi (Zhao Lusi) who is one of the best disciples of the Tianshuang Sect. They are a very famous duo of swordsmen in the martial world. Many people say that the ability of these two in martial arts is difficult or even unmatched by any warrior in the world. Uniquely, where there is Bai Feng Xi, there is Hei Feng Xi. Through various battles, several times Hei Feng Xi saved Bai Feng Xi, and vice versa. Over time, they have actually fallen in love with each other, although they are still reluctant to admit it.

Hei Feng Xi is actually a prince from Yongzhou state. He has another name Feng Lan Xi. Since childhood he has been the target of his stepmother, Queen Baili, because he is considered a threat to her stepmother's ambition to make her biological son who is also the third prince, Feng Ju, become the leader of Yongzhou. Likewise, Bai Feng Xi is a princess. Her other name is Feng Xi Yun. Since childhood, she has been entrusted to be a disciple of the Tianshuang Sect.

Long short story, the world is threatened by the existence of the Soultaker Sect, which massacres other sects with the aim of taking the wealth and potentials of these sects. They want to build a strong army, and that can be achieved by conquering the sects in the world of martial arts. The story gets even more exciting when Empyrean Token disappears from Imperial City. In fact, if the Empyrean Token is lost, then the 6 states that are under the control of the Imperial City will be turbulent, competing to find the token and will take over the Imperial City, and even have ambitions to rule the world. This motif is then fostered by Prince Huang who comes from the state of Jizhou. He sees this opportunity to launch his intention to find Empyrean tokens and rule the world. Will Prince Huang's intentions be fulfilled and what will the Hei-Bei Feng Xi duo do to stop Prince Huang's ambitions? Curious about the next story?
